a.- ¿Cuánto se tarda?

b.- Hora y pico. Despegas y en un momento estás allí. No te das ni cuenta.

Pausa

a.- Y cuando llegues, ¿qué harás?

b.- Me recogen unos amigos. Iremos a cenar, supongo.

Pausa breve

Mañana empiezo con guardia. ¿Y tú? Ah, ya sé. Estás de vacaciones.

Pausa

a.- No hay ningún compromiso, ¿eh?

b.- Lo sé.

Pausa

b.- Te metía en la maleta.

Risas

b.- Cuando te canses, dímelo, y dejo de llamarte, ¿ok?

a.- Ok.

b.- Si me invitas, puedo venir a verte.

a.- Si me encuentro como ahora, y tú estás como ahora, ¿por qué no?

b.- ¿El mes que viene?
a.- ¿El mes que viene? Ya vamos viendo, ¿no?

b.- Tengo la impresión de que no te vas dejar conocer.

a.- Todo es proponérselo.

b.- Me has despertado las ganas de estar con alguien.

a.- Me alegro.

b.- Me gustaría que ése alguien fueras tú.

Pausa

a.- Vas a perder el avión.

b.- Lo que no quisiera sería perderte a ti.

Pausa

b.- Sera difícil retenerte desde una isla...

Pausa

b.- ¿Puedo besarte un poco más?

a.- Perderás el avión.

b.- Me perdería a mi mismo. Abrázame, por favor. Te seguiré llamando. Trata de recordarme.

a.- Y tú trata de que el tiempo no haga que me olvide ti.

a.- How long does it take?

b.- About one hour. The plane takes off and arrives in the quick of an eye.

A pause

a.- What will you do?

b.- Some friends will pick me up. Then, we´ll go to have dinner, I think.

A brief pause

b.- I have to be on duty. And you? Oh, yes. You're on holiday!

A pause

a.- No compromise, ok?

b.- No compromise.

A pause

b.- I'd put you inside of my suitcase...

They laugh

b.- When you get tired, let me know quickly and I won't call you again, ok?

a.- Ok.

b.- But if you have any proposal, I'll come to see you.

a.- If you feel what you're feeling now; if I feel what I'm feeling now, why not?

b.- Next month?

a.- Next month? We'll see.

b.- I think you'll never open your heart to me, won't you?

a.- Will I?

b.- I want to share my life with someone, someone like you. You woke me up.

a.- I'm glad about that.

b.- In fact I'd like you to be that person.

A pause

a.- You're going to lose your plane.

b.- I don´t want to lose you.

A pause

b.- You know, it won't be difficult to retain you from an island...

A pause

b.- Can I kiss you one more time?

a.- You'll lose your plane.

b.- I wouldn't mind to lose myway. Hold me. I'll keep calling you. Try to not forget me.

a.- Time can make me forget you. Try to stop him.

a o b.- Cincuenta besos. Uno tras otro. Y me pediste más. Y yo los multipliqué. Y me entró el miedo por si se agotaban. Y mis ganas de seguir multiplicando caían en saco roto, porque yo sabía que no habría más noches; que aquél era el único momento y había que sacarle punta.

Y yo, mientras multiplicaba, volví a creer en lo que hacía.

Y cincuenta besos. Cincuenta besos cayendo en saco roto.

a or b.- Fifty kisses. One kiss after another. And you begged for more. And I multiplied them for you. And I was afraid of not having more kisses for you. And I didn't feel like multiplying more kisses for you, since I knew that... that night was the last night, the last moment, and we had to drink it up.

And while I was multiplying kisses for you, I started to believe in what I was doing.

And fifty kisses. Fifty, ignored kisses.

Why did I write DEADLINES?

The play is an artefact where you can find some of the fruits and the miserable reflection of the nowadays online relationships/antirelationships due to the urgency of the times.
